Our meeting on 24 August 2022 was a Fellowship Meeting where members and guests had the opportunity to update each other on events.
Work is progressing well on the Rotary Foundation Ukraine Grant, with the aid being purchased at wholesale prices, and the load being assembled for despatch by the end of August 2022.
There was news of a new granddaughter, and an award for another granddaughter who has been battling cancer. There was news of what had been happening in the UK with regard to Ukrainians who managed to escape what is happening in their country, and there was news about a Rotary Garden in Northumberland.
Next week the Club will be meeting in a restaurant in Hatch End, and there will be only a limited opportunity for Rotary matters to be discussed. The week after that is the official visit of the District Governor.
