Polio Planting in the Park

Members of the Club were present and involved in the planting of thousands of purple crocus corms in Regents Park on Friday 09 December 2016.

A Television Crew from London Live (Freeview Channel 8) attended the event and interviewed some of the celebrities present.  Our member, District Governor Helen (front right), was not called to be on the camera, but Rotary was featured in 3 separate inserts in the programme.

There was a cause for celebration that week, as once again no new cases of polio had been recorded anywhere in the world.  We now wait eagerly to see if the purple crocuses survive the winter and cheer the view in the spring.
