Distance no object

Members of the Club turned out on Tuesday 08 September 2020 to help load much needed supplies for UK-Aid’s delivery to the Revival Centre in Chernihiv, Ukraine.

In these difficult times, it is reassuring to know that Rotary is still carrying on its work for those in real need.  Whilst Covid-19 has only had a light effect on the people of Chernihiv in North Ukraine, the many other problems people have been suffering have continued.

Alan Hillier (by the rear door of the van) had recently taken part in an international fundraiser for Ukraine, and whilst speaking to a worldwide audience, he kindly mentioned the support he has received from the Rotary Club of Northwick Park.

We said, “Distance no object”, and for Rotary International that is true.  We can keep our distance from each other while helping others who are an enormous distance away.
