Our meeting on Wednesday 14 June 2023 was the last business meeting of the current Rotary Year.
There were several strategic decisions to be made. Following a series of events with our street 3-tier planter being attacked, the Club has decided that this project needs to be re-thought. There is also a 100% increase in the cost to be considered as well.
The Club has also decided that the hybrid meetings, where members could attend on-line rather than in person, have served their purpose for the Club and are no longer required. That said, the practice of holding face to face meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday each month, and on-line meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month will continue. Where there is a 5th Wednesday, an ad-hoc decision will be made. This decision will be implemented from 30 June 2023, allowing one more hybrid meeting this year.
The Club also plans to return to its monthly Club Newsletter rather than the weekly update that proved its worth during the Covid-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, some 150 weekly updates were issued.
