The London Disability Games

On Sunday 09 October 2022, the Club turned out in force for the Rotary North London Disability Games at the Aspire Sports Hall in Stanmore, principally running the Table Tennis Competition for those in wheelchairs and for those not in wheelchairs.

This was the 9th year of the Games, with a forced hiatus for 2020 and 2021.  However, several sports clubs took part, entering their members into a variety of games and activities.

Running the Table Tennis competition requires a strong contingent so that the balls do not stray too far into other activities in the Aspire Sports Hall.  When there were pauses in the competition, our members were able to help out elsewhere in the Games.

All told, it was a most successful afternoon for the contestants and for our Club, and we look forward to the event being held next October when the event will be 10 years old.

You can see 18 photos of the games here in our photo album.
