November – Crocus Corms Time

November is the last chance to get Crocus Corms planted so that we get a display for Rotary’s Birthday on 23 February each year.

We are grateful to the staff and pupils of local schools for getting the job done this year. More than 3,000 corms were planted by the pupils pictured above.

The Crocus Corms should all come up coloured purple, as a reminder of the purple stains placed on the little finger of the children that have been vaccinated against polio.  It is definitely something to look forward to each Spring!  And it looks as though the pupils were having fun putting the corms in the ground in a local park.
