You can apply for a
place in the next ROTARY YOUNG CHEF competition.
The competitors are to be aged 17 years or under on 31st August of the current Academic Year. They are required to prepare:
Preliminary Heat: a one-course meal for two people spending up to £4.00
Area Semi-Final: a one-course meal for two people spending up to £4.00
District Final: a two-course meal for two people spending up to £6.00
All the
Competitors cook their meal in the Catering Faculty of a local
college, and their efforts are then invigilated by a mixed panel
of Rotarians and Caterers. There is a two hour time limit for the District Final. The earlier rounds have a 1½ hour time limit. The District Final winners then move on to a
Regional Competition, and the Regional Winners take part in a
National Competition.
