The Interest Meeting on 2 April 2008

From time to time we offer the opportunity for members of the public to visit an open meeting.  Our next open meeting will in Spring 2009 at a date to be determined. If you would like an invitation to the meeting please contact the Webmaster by email or wait until we re-instate the "Invite Me" button below.

We Have Changed Our Meeting Time

From 9th January 2008 we meet at The Cumberland Hotel in the Centre of Harrow at 7.15pm for 7.45pm start. (The trial has been successfully completed and this is now our regular meeting time until further notice.)

Northwick Park is located in the North West Suburbs of London and is about 11m (18km) from the centre of the city. Chartered in 1978, the Club has a comparatively young membership, and a young outlook. Three of the members of the Club are ex-Rotaractors (Rotary's organisation for 18 - 30 year olds). We meet every Wednesday evening at The Cumberland Hotel, St John's Road, Harrow at 7.15pm for 7.45pm. The nearest station is Harrow on the Hill, on the Metropolitan Line and on Chiltern Railways.

It appears likely that we will be changing our meeting place early in 2009. If you are planning to visit us and want to confirm our meeting time and meeting place, please send an email to our webmaster (see below) who will be pleased to reply promptly to any enquiry.

On Wednesday 5th November 2008 we had an Awareness Meeting when a number of local business people attended the club to find out a little more about our Club and its work. The evening featured a question and answer session with questions being posed by Lucille Parker, and answered by both new members and senior members of the Club. It also featured a short video on the Leonard Cheshire Homes project in Africa to provide education for disabled children, and a video on the Birmingham Rotary International Convention taking place in June 2009. Also in attendance was last year's District Governmor, Colin Mathews, who presented last year's Club President Len Gold with a Citation from the International President of Rotary International in recognition of the service performed by the Club during the last 12 months.
