A working party from the Club made their way to Northwick Park Hospital Garden on Friday 24 November 2023 now that the bulk of the leaves from the trees have fallen.
When we arrived, the paths were as covered in leaves as the grass in the photo! We cleared away 3 large sacks of leaves (which we will compost ready for next year), and also succeeded in removing the geraniums for propagation and over-wintering – just in time before the first frost arrived that night.
We are now planning our displays for next year.
The garden provides staff, visitors and patients with a quiet and peaceful corner that can easily be visited. Those using the garden tell us how much it is appreciated, especially when having to deal with difficult news.
