Sakib Rashid visits our Club

With President Elect Sandy in the chair, our speaker on Wednesday 4 April 2012 was Sakib Rashid, a 17-year old student at Preston Manor School was looking to top up a bursary he had received to enable him to take part in an Operation Raleigh International project in Costa Rica and Nicaragua.   He hopes that this gap year experience will stand him in good stead for the career he hopes to follow in medicine.   We wished him well and look forward to hearing about his trip on his return.  The club has made a contribution towards the funds still needed for participation on the condition that Sakid returns after the experience to tell us all about it. Well done Sakib and good luck with your fundraising – we can’t wait to hear your story!
