Routemaster Buses Revisited





Our speaker on 19th January 2011 was Andrew Morgan, currently the Chairman of the Routemaster Owners and Operators Association ( Andrew took us through the history of the popular double-decker bus from its introduction in 1958. Over the years some 2,876 were built including one rear-engined model. The design of the vehicle was based on sub-frames rather than traditional chassis designs, and the bodywork was all in aluminium in place of steel and timber construction.
