District Governor’s Visit – 15 October
District Governor Adrian Faiers, accompanied by Shirley, was warmly welcomed at our meeting on 15 October. During his address, he spoke with great enthusiasm about his priorities and expectations for the year ahead. He emphasised the importance of the theme “Unite for Good”, reminding us that collaboration is essential to achieving greater impact across all of Rotary’s Areas of Focus.The district Governor was delighted to accept a £100 cheque for climbing the O2 Dome with Rotarians for End Polio
We were also pleased to welcome the two Global Scholars sponsored by our club, Ayaka Ishimoto and Sarah Firke. Both scholars were formally introduced to the club and had the opportunity to hear the District Governor’s presentation. They each expressed their gratitude to Northwick Park, their respective sponsor clubs,http://Rotary International , and The Rotary Foundation for the generous support that has enabled them to pursue their studies in London.
