A Night of Visitors

On Wednesday 30 November 2011, we had five visitors from outside London as well as many from nearby clubs and from the Inner Wheel Club of Northwick Park. Of great significance to the club however were the four visitors from the Rotary Club of Monnickendam in the Netherlands (http://www.rotary.nl/monnickendam), who came as ambassadors to our club with a view to establishing a Contact Club agreement. Pictured with our President Elect, Sandy are (left to right) are Wim, Alfred, Wim and Yorrit. Alfred, a Past District Governor from District 1580 in the Netherlands, also exchanged banners with Sandy. We hope to visit the Rotary Club of Monnickendam during 2012 and if possible, establish a Contact Club agreement.

Also visiting us was Stuart Shuttle from the Rotary Club of Luton Someries, a breakfast club meeting on Fridays at 7.00am. Stuart recommended that we fly to the Netherlands from Luton Airport so that we could visit his club before we catch our flight!
