Arriving at the Expo 2015 site near Milan, we see the enormous crowds visiting the exhibition.

There are so many stands and pavilions to visit that we need to refer to the map to do anything.

Our first exhibit was this group of curious statues with their 'Truli' like buildings.

The central aisle of the exhibition was measured at 1,600 metres in length! It was packed with people all day long.

We had a look at the Ecuadorian Pavilion but the queue for a visit was enormous.

Those in the queue were entertained with the Blue Booby dance, celebrating the Blue-footed Albatross which has its home on the Galapagos islands.

The two themes of the exhibition were Energy and Food - how will mankind manage them. Here is an explanation of Vertical Fields.

The queue for the Japanese Pavilion was showing this sign - a four hour wait before you get in.

At the end of the day we saw the Son et Lumiere show with the Tree of Life at its centre, surrounded with fountains.

The next day saw a Festival of Choirs at the Church in Pordenone.

We do bottle top collections, but in Pordenone they are doing it with this collection bins in the streets.

Sunday dinner was in a restaurant, and their chef created this grilled vegetable pizza for President Ritu.

The Town Hall in Pordenone is outstanding, and really very pretty at night.

The variety of architecture in the town centre is very interesting too.

The local Rotary Clubs have put up information boards explaining the features to the visitors.

All too soon it was time to return and here we are taking off with Venice and La Giudecca in the foreground.

Return to London City Airport gave us an opportunity to see the Olympic Stadium in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
