The Rotary Aquabox is a
heavy duty plastic crate that has been specially adapted to take the following items:
- Simple Hand Tools with screws and nails
- Baby Clothings
- Simple Hygiene Items
- A Reusable Water Purification filter
- Sterilisation tablets
- A Polythene Sheet
- A Greetings Card
The Rotary Aquabox contains a specially developed filter unit and enough sterilisation tablets for the 80 litre container to be filled and used 30 times. 2,400 litres of safe drinking water combined with simple tools to help repair a shelter can make a signficant contribution to a group of people recovering from a disaster.
The Rotary Aquabox Project comes in three forms: 1. The Standard box with the filter cartridge and tablets and a list of items to add (£50) 2. A Gold box which is completed at the warehouse with 2 filter kits for the Club (£80) 3. A special Aqua 30 box containing 30 filter cartridges and 30x30 tablets (£250)
The Club is interested in sponsoring schools, scouts, clubs and similar organisations who want to fill a type 1 Standard Aquabox.
