Public Perceptions of Rotary

Our speaker on 22 July 2020 was David Ellis, a Marketing Specialist who has been elected to Chair Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland from 01 July 2021.

One of David’s themes was his call for photos to show Rotarians as People of Action rather than people at the dinner table, or in serried ranks in a group, or holding a big cheque.  So we have chosen a photo of David, who comes from Salford, delivering scrubs and visors to a local care home.

His talk covered logos, colours, typography and the choice of words, and was sprinkled with videos showing how to and how not to change the public perception of Rotary.

David appeared at our Zoom meeting for over an hour, and we are grateful that someone with his expertise was able to give us the benefit of his experience.
