Disability Sports Day Wins Again

On 15 October 2017, members of the Club attended the North London Rotary Disability Sports event at the Aspire Centre next to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.

Our Club’s Job was to run the Table Tennis Tournament – other Rotary Clubs for around London were organising Darts, Bagatelle, Stick Ball, 21st Century Curling, Indoor Bowls, Boccia, Deck Quoits and so on.

This is a really rewarding event to run, and is much appreciated by the Sportsmen and Sportswomen taking part in the events.  Our scholar Lauren was also present at the event.

This was the sixth year of the event which was started in response to the Paralympic Games held in London in 2012, and we are all looking forward the same event next year!
